PLEASE READ
CAREFULLY
Due to the shape of the Hex Sign, the larger signs 16" and
24" Diameters will have to be purchased and shipped on this
Order Page and Order Form only. If you are buying only 8" Diameters Hex
Signs and other items, please return to the
8" Hex Sign Page by clicking on
the link below or the "Hex Signs" selection located on the right column.
You may buy 8" Hex Signs along with the larger

page also.

Hex Signs and other Hand Crafted Items,
colors may appear different as they do on your
monitor and may change slightly
piece to piece.
On occasion
the silk screen artist may alter the patterns and
colors. Since hand crafted items are not made with automated machinery, slight
imperfections are to be expected. The hex
signs are cut from 48" wide Double Tempered Sign Board and to
allow for a saw cut that would yield more pieces per sheet the
signs are more or less the diameter stated. This keeps the cost
down for the consumer. The 8", 12", 16" and 24" are a nominal sizes
and may vary from the size stated + or - 1/4" to 1/2" on the Diameter.
The artists use high quality paint creating the art patterns on the front of the
signs, but the back of the signs are uncoated and should not be exposed directly
to weather.
Wood verses sign board
I have chosen craftsmen who use
sign board over those who make signs out of wood. Wood may warp, crack,
bleed and or fade colors over a long period of time, tempered sign
board is more stable and holds color longer.
These signs are ideal to give for a Get Well Arrangement, House Warming,
Wedding Shower, Birthday, Employee Recognition, Christmas Present or just
keep it
for yourself.
The 16" and 24" a must
for
Barn, Shed and
Outdoor Building Decorations!

This is a
photo of Uncle Jack's 12 foot x 16 foot shed. With
a Double Distlefink 16" in diameter prepared
as instructed. The sign is about 12 years old and
has not been recoated with polyurethane
since it was hung. (The design has been changed
since the hanging of this sign)

Metal and Wood verses
Tempered Sign Board
I have chosen craftsmen who use
tempered sign board over those who make signs out of sheet
metal, tin or wood. Tin and other metals used to make signs are very thin and
will rust and dent easily, wood will warp, crack,
bleed and or fade colors over a short period of time, tempered sign
board is more stable, will not rust, dent, warp, crack or bleed and
my craftsmen use high quality coatings which holds color longer.
BEWARE
There is a few Chinese Companies selling on the internet metal signs with
every one of their designs pirated from Zook's and Conestoga patterns and
have even copied several of my photos of Hex Signs from this Web Site. They
have even gone as far to claim made in America. The owners of the companies
that fell victim to the pirated signs are taking legal actions to have these
sales stopped. JUST TO BE
CLEAR EACH AND EVERYONE

Interviews of Robert Taylor, Robert Blumetti, Jack
Montgomery, Wyatt Kaldenberg, Dennis Boyer, Adel
Souto, Matthias Waggener, Isaac Vazquez, Patrick
Donmoyer. "Now along with the many names given to
Hex Signs, such as Hexefuus (Witch's Feet), Hexes,
and Barn Stars, is a new one, "Runic Barnstars" As I
had shown in my previous book, "Heiden Hexology,
Essays and Interviews", The Runes had been
incorporated into Hex Work spontaneously around the
world by the emerging Germanic Heathen Rune Magic
practioners. In particular, they had become
expressions of the Neo-Tribalism in Germanic
Heathenry in North America."

For years,
scholars of Pennsylvania German Folk
Culture have argued about the
presence or absence of magic in the
Hex Signs that adorn the barns in SE
Pennsylvania. This book is not going
to waste any space on that tired
discussion. All the Hexologists
included here are working in a
magical way. It is just a natural
process that creating geometric star
signs with symbols in them would
have meaning with intent. The
questions raised here are not "If"
but "How". Not as a scholar, but as
a user, a practitioner, its clear
that that Hexology is ready and
willing to accept symbolism of any
tradition but most especially that
of our prechristian Germanic
ancestors . Now along with the many
names given to Hex Signs, such as
Hexefuus (Witch's Feet), Hexes, and
Barn Stars, is a new one, "Runic
Barnstars" As I had shown in my
previous book, "Heiden Hexology,
Essays and Interviews", The Runes
had been incorporated into Hex Work
spontaneously around the world by
the emerging Germanic Heathen Rune
Magic practioners. In particular,
they had become expressions of the
Neo-Tribalism in Germanic Heathenry
in North America. "I would say this,
there is an energy in the magical
signs of our Pennsylvania German
ancestors. It is very real and
powerful. Anyone can participate in
making them. In doing so you are
tapping into something much larger
then mere personal self expression.
As I explained to a former teacher
and friend, A stream or river has
run in its bed for hundreds of
thousands of years maybe longer, so
it is with folk magic. No one is
quite sure how it works, just that
it does and always has." Hunter M.
Yoder
